DELRAY BEACH, FL: Dancing on Glass, award-winning playwright Gary
Morgenstern’s ‘ripped from the headlines’ play that confronts antisemitism and political bullying at a private school in Brooklyn, will be given two staged readings on January 14th, 2026. The first, at 1 pm will take place at the Soref Jewish Community Center in Plantation, and the second at 7 pm that same evening will be held at the Dr. André Fladell Civic Center in Delray Beach.
The Plot:
A Jewish teacher is fired by his progressive Jewish Board for not being “balanced enough” to continue teaching his course in Israeli/Palestinian issues. He decides to fight back. The play deals with contemporary classroom issues such as educational bias and bullying – issues which are being faced across our country and around the world today. Although the play’s themes are
